Spring 2017 Recital Information and Checklist

The day of recital can be a busy and sometimes stressful day. This document is meant to give you helpful information to help you prepare for that day and lessen any anxiety. Please read through all items and complete the form on the bottom of this page and return the completed form to me by May 1st. If you have any questions not addressed on this document, please ask me prior to the day of recital. Due to other duties I must perform for set-up and production, I will not be available to answer questions on the day of recital. Good luck and remember to practice, practice, practice!

Dress code: “dressy casual” – This is not a formal affair, but you will perform better if you feel confident in what you are wearing. Please don’t show up in sweat pants and a ripped T-shirt that looks like it was last used for dusting. Jeans are fine. Please use your best judgement and if you aren’t sure, error on the side of dressy instead of casual.

Morning of recital:

  • arrive at least 15 minutes prior to recital start

  • tune your instrument at home before you walk out the door

  • stagehands will be available before the recital to help with places, playing order and minor tuning adjustments. They will be identified with “Jennie’s Music” buttons. Please remember I will be unavailable immediately before the recital. Any questions or assistance requiring my attention, need to be addressed prior to that day.

Volunteers: I’m looking for additional volunteers to assist before and during the recital. If you’re available and interested in helping, please contact me at 920-217-4604 before May 1st.
